Japan-Russia Student Conference


Japan-Russia Student Conference, which will take place 10-23 August 2022 on MGIMO university grounds in Moscow. The Japan-Russia Student Conference (JRSC) is a student-led exchange program that was first held in the late 1980s. Japan and Russia take turns in hosting the conference, and its main goal is to bring together Russian and Japanese students to discuss the global issues of today. 
The next JRSC (held in 2023) will take place in Japan, and, as is tradition, the host country covers all expenses except for airfare. The organizing committee of JRSC-2022 is required to invite 4 participants who have distinguished themselves in JRSC-2022 to take part in JRCS-2023. In order to have a chance to participate in the JRSC-2022, please fill in and submit the online application form linked below until 1 June.

This year the following topics were chosen for discussion:
1. International relatios: Modern structure of international relations from the position of Japan and Russia; everything connected to the political relations between two countries. Territorial dispute. Economic cooperation (joint projects like Sakhalin-2). Sanctions etc.
2. Information: The IT and world politics. Technological cooperation between Japan and Russia. Information warfare and propaganda. Social networks. The Internet culture etc.
3. Social issues: Ageing society. Working style. Crime. Mafia and Underground society. The youth. Gender. Mentality etc.
